Omar and Khyyam were expedition assistants of archaeologist Henry Rogers, working with him at Cairo University.

Physical appearance[]

Omar and Khyyam are both tall large Middle-Eastern men with black hair; Omar has a beard and Khyyam has a long mustache. One of them wore a red fez, a white shirt underneath a green vest, brown pants with a black belt and matching shoes. The other wore a blue baseball cap, a long sleeve shirt, white pants with a black belt and matching shoes.

Personality[]

Fred described Omar and Khyyam as "stone-face," as even when being awarded university grants, they responded stoically without a smile. However, they were later revealed to be thieves who resorted to crime to steal an artifact. Despite being colleagues of Henry Rogers, they were willing to betray him, abducting him to steal the ruby scarab.

History[]

Scooby-Doo (DC Comics)[]

Assistants of archaeologist Henry Rogers, Omar and Khyyam plotted to steal a ruby scarab he found in the Great Pyramid of Giza. During his expedition, they used a robotic giant cobra to attack Rogers and his guide, abducting them, wrapping them in bandages, and sealing them in the kitchen pantry. They also used the cobra to scare away other workers. Because Rogers disappeared, he was presumed lost and lawyer Ben Abi executed his will, summoning Mystery Inc. to Cairo as Shaggy was included in the will.

Mystery Inc. first met Omar and Khyyam at the pyramid to read the will. Omar and Khyyam were awarded fellowship grants at the Cairo University, but Fred noted they responded very stoically, almost without emotion. However, the lights suddenly went out, and Omar and Khyyam kidnapped Abi as well.

Omar & Khyyam unmasked

Omar and Khyyam unmasked.

As Mystery Inc. began investigating, Fred's group found the scarab in the workshop but encountered the cobra. Meanwhile, Omar and Khyyam attacked Shaggy and Scooby as hooded figures. They chased Shaggy and Scooby into an urn, revealing a secret chute leading to the workshop. However, Shaggy and Scooby landed on the cobra, defeating it, and when Omar and Khyyam slid down the chute, the cobra fell on them, crushing them. They were unmasked, exposed for their crimes, and handed to authorities, while Rogers was found. Rogers intended to donate the ruby scarab to a museum.
