The old man was a slightly hunched over elderly man with a wrinkled, leathery face. He went barefoot and wore dark lavender hooded robes with brighter lavender accents around the hood, cuffs, and bottom.

Personality[]

The old man acted mysteriously. He constantly lurked in the background to observe but would go to great lengths to avoid contact with anyone.

History[]

Scooby-Doo, Where Are You![]

Season two[]

When Lt. Tomoro got word about pearl poachers in Hawaii, he went undercover as an old man in order to catch them. He spotted Shaggy Rogers, Daphne Blake, Fred Jones, and Velma Dinkley arriving at the village in the Mystery Machine to find both Scooby-Doo and John Simms, who disappeared when the Witch Doctor appeared and scared everyone away. Velma spotted the old man and wanted to ask him questions, but he took off before they could speak to him. He appeared twice, first scaring Shaggy and Scooby and later appearing in the water where he roared and submerged. The Old Man showed up after discovering that the Witch Doctor was John Sims, who was actually behind the Pearl poaching along with his henchmen. He unmasked himself to Mystery Inc and revealed he had been on Sims and his henchmen's trail for quite some time, thanking the Gang for capturing them.

Notes/Trivia[]

  • Lt. Tomoro, in his old man disguise, growls at the kids, which seems to amuse him. He also growls when they find him in the river. Maybe he thought he was doing it for their own good?
