Daphne's Uncle Verner, who works as a scientist at the research center, had the gang called to the place as he was concerned about possible spies in the area trying to break in and steal his plans of a nuclear powered rocket ship.
A spy by the name of Boris Brainyov, who is an expert in perfectly disguising himself as anyone was able to get into the center, by incapacitating Daphne, and gotten images, but was later caught after Scooby saw through his disguise easily, and shortly caused him to lose most of it after crashing into a back door pool.
