Never Ape an Ape Man is the seventh episode of the first season of Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!.
Premise
The gang take jobs as extras on the set of Daphne's uncle, John Maxwell's, movie set of The Ape Man of Forbidden Mountain. Legend has it that a real ape man is haunting the set, and Uncle John's movie is in jeopardy of not being finished. The local folks think a real Apeman is running amok.
Synopsis
The gang, visit a movie set in which they they take jobs as extras to help Daphne's uncle who agrees to let them stay on the set after the main actress Candy is scared off and quits. The day before, while shooting a scene in which the "Ape Man" nearly kills her except for the quick thinking of Scooby-Doo who defends her; she is then caught in a net by Fred. The stunt man Carl, wearing the "Apeman" costume, was angry for not getting the leading roll in the film.
