Nana is a distant cousin of Steve Buscemi.

Physical appearance[]

Nana is an elderly, plump woman with light gray hair combed back and tied into a bun. Her clothing includes a light-pink collared shirt with the sleeves rolled up, a red dress, a yellow apron tied in a bow behind her back, and black shoes with buckles.

Personality[]

Nana acted like a caring, motherly woman, with Buscemi even comparing her to a grandmother. She was presented as a happy woman with a passion for cooking, proudly and cheerfully feeding Mystery Inc. and Buscemi's cousins her favourite recipe, garlic olive oil spaghetti. She also deeply admires Buscemi for his success as an actor, keeping a portrait of him. However, it was revealed that she was willing to turn to crime to protect her cousin's reputation, even burning down her own warehouse in the process. Despite her crimes being treacherous and highly-dangerous, her intentions were seen as noble and was redeemed by Buscemi for her actions. Like the other residents of Menfi, she speaks with an Italian accent.

Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?[]

Season one[]

Nana was the one of many cousins of celebrity actor Steve Buscemi, living in Menfi, Sicily; her cousins viewed her as a grandmotherly figure for her passion in cooking and positive attitude. However, she was disheartened by Buscemi's reputation, as the people of Menfi mistakenly believed his movie roles were real and he was a criminal gangster. So, she created the Fire Monster of Mount Etna disguise to terrorize Buscemi so he would heroically stop the monster, improving his reputation as a hero. Nana first appeared at a family gathering, where she fed all her cousins spaghetti.

However, she fell into a trap set by Mystery Inc. at the local museum. She initially evaded the trap by burning the fishing net meant to capture her, but Mystery Inc. "extinguished" her with a fire hose and captured her. Unmasked and exposed, Nana was handed over to authorities for her crimes, but Steve bailed her out of prison soon after. Later, when Buscemi built a fire station for Menfi, she attended its grand opening.
