Mystery of the Missing Mystery Solvers is the eighth episode of the first season of Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get a Clue!
Premise[]
Scooby-Doo and Shaggy are nominated for the Mystery Solvers of the Millennium, ignoring a message from Uncle Albert. When the other nominees begin to disappear, Shaggy and Scooby work with the remaining detectives to expose the culprit.
Synopsis[]
Shaggy and Scooby receive an invitation to the Mystery Solvers of the Millennium, nominated for the award. They immediately prepare to leave for the event, but ignore Robi, who tries to deliver an important message from Uncle Albert. At the party, they meet the masked event host as well as the other nominees: Sam Spader, the Spencer brothers, Cocoa, Dr. Zazloff, and Shaggy and Scooby's idol, Chad Chaddington. As lightning strikes, however, the Spencer brothers suddenly disappear, so the remaining detectives join forces to investigate the disappearances.
While searching the halls, Spader is abducted and Chaddington falls into a trapdoor in the hallway, leaving Shaggy and Scooby alone. The two culprits, a zombie and a knight, appear and follow them into a library, but they do not notice them. While searching, they find a detached prosthetic hand, as well as a secret passage behind a bookcase. Finding the abducted detectives, Scooby eats what he believes is an intelligence-enhancing Scooby Snack to solve the case. Despite him eating the wrong Scooby Snack, he solves the case.
The masked event host reveals himself as Phibes, who organized the event to humiliate Shaggy and Scooby, showing their incompetence for the public to see. He used an artificial voice changer to disguise his voice, and disguised his agents as the zombie and knight. Phibes and his agents try to kill Shaggy and Scooby, but fall into the hallway trapdoor. After additionally exposing the Spencer twins as false twins and Zazloff for stealing appetizers, Shaggy and Scooby win the award.

Notes/trivia[]
- When showing scenes from the aforementioned films, Scott Menville had redubbed over Casey Kasem's lines for consistency. Oddly enough, Frank Welker appears to have also re-recorded his own lines, since the Scooby in Get a Clue!, sounds a little different than he did in the aforementioned films.
- Sam Spader is a parody of private detective Sam Spade who was played by Humphrey Bogart in the 1941 film noir The Maltese Falcon.
Miscellaneous[]
- Clue: A prosthetic hand.
- Scooby Snack superpower: superhuman strength.

- None known.
