The Mystery Machine has a pale blue top half, with a lime green middle, orange bottom in the shape of waves along with a black tail end. The classic logo is on the side in a much darker orange with black lining on the words, inside of a wavy shape in the same lime green. The body overall is bulky with a longer back space. The wheel chambers are round in shape, and the rear is also raised a little as well. The interior consists of a curtain covering the back windows, a hammock, a grill, shag carpeting, a fluffy beanbag chair, a surfboard table, and other various decorations.

Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed[]

The Mystery Machine shares the same colors with it's predecessor albeit a more powdery blue for the top half. The main difference is in the model used for the film which shows a more short back space, square wheel chambers, and a lowered rear as well. The interior consists of super hi-tech equipment used for analyzing various clues on the go as well as tools that can be used for a variety of situations.

History[]

Scooby-Doo (2002)[]

The Mystery Machine made it's first appearance in the beginning of the film after being driven through a loading dock to make way for the police by Pamela Anderson. After Old Man Smithers is apprehended for the crimes he committed as The Luna Ghost, the van was parked outside the front of The Wow-O Toy Factory. As Fred, Daphne & Velma get into a verbal altercation, ultimately ending Mystery Inc as a whole, Shaggy takes Scooby-Doo and drives off sharing lament and sadness of the event that just took place. Fast forward 2 years later, The Mystery Machine is seen parked near a lifeguard stand in a beach parking lot with smoke emerging from the sunroof alluding to the infamous joke/rumor that Shaggy is a pothead being the explanation for his constant appetite. But the following shot shows him and Scooby grilling eggplant burgers inside. Another instance where The Mystery Machine is shown is when Velma reminisces on the old days while talking to her potential love interest after analyzing The Daemon Ritus. During the flashback, an exterior shot is shown of The Mystery Machine driving on a lone road in the desert and then a frontal shot of the gang in The Mystery Machine is shown while Velma talks about each respective member of the gang and then begrudgingly mentioning Scrappy-Doo.

Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed[]

In the beginning of the film, a limousine version of The Mystery Machine appears after the opening credits. After it parks, Mystery Inc emerges to a cheering crowd as they prepare to enter The Coolsonian Criminology Museum on it's opening night with an exhibit celebrating their "creepiest cases uncovered" from their historical past. The next time we see the van is when the gang decides to investigate Jeremiah Wickles who they suspect might be behind the previous night's wreckage thanks to The Evil Masked Figure and a fully alive Pterodactyl Ghost running rampant. A high shot shows The Mystery Machine is shown to be driving down a highway road and pulling into Wickles Manor. The appearance that follows is after Velma's makeover from Daphne when she expresses feelings towards Patrick Wisely, the museum curator. Mystery Inc and Patrick decide to pile in and head to the museum which unfortunately has been robbed of it's last costumes. After this, the gang decides to visit The Old Tyme Mining Town to confront Wickles on his potential involvement with the monsters coming back to life. Much later after Scooby & Shaggy accidentally brought more monsters to life and the gang escapes, they decide to seek refuge at their old high school clubhouse located in a secluded swamp in order to regroup and figure out what to do. Once they were found by Captain Cutler's Ghost, they flee to the city streets only to be attacked by The Pterodactyl Ghost and almost rammed by The Zombie driving a gas tanker. The final appearance of the van is during the double battle with The 10,000 Volt Ghost & The Black Knight Ghost. Daphne hints to jumper cables in The Mystery Machine that Fred grabs. After Daphne connects 2 sides to a metal pipe, throwing it at the 10,000 Volt Ghost while Fred hooks his ends to The Black Knight Ghost's armor and sword, it causes an explosion due to the 10,000 Volt Ghost surging into The Black Knight Ghost. In the shot, The Mystery Machine is shown but we are not made aware if it was damaged in the process or even destroyed.
