This article is about the museum guide from the DTV, Scooby-Doo! and the Monster of Mexico. For other uses, see Museum guide (disambiguation).

The museum guide was the disguise of Charlene.

Physical appearance[]

The guide was an adult woman with short spiky red hair and arched-shaped glasses over her eyes, as well as applying dark pink lipstick. Her outfit consisted of a dark blue one-button blazer and knee-long skirt, a white shirt with a closed collar, a black tie and black high heels. She also had a slim figure.

Personality[]

She seemed awfully perky and liked saying "Super!". She also didn't care about answers, due to her grabbing Daphne and taking her to the stage without her permission.

History[]

Scooby-Doo! and the Monster of Mexico[]

Chupacabra (museum guide) unzipped

The guide unmasked.

She first appeared while the gang, Alejo and Luis went to the Museum of Anthropology in Veracruz where she greeted them and guided them into a special room resembling a theatre stage inside the museum, filled with animatronics resembling animals and mythological monsters from Central America. She also summoned a small group of men dressed as Aztek warriors to give the gang a harmless demonstration of how the Azteks sacrificed to their gods and forced Daphne to partake as the sacrifice. However, when the act was almost over, the guide summoned a large cloud of smoke, making herself, the false warriors and Daphne disappear in it. The guide wasn't seen again until she was caught as the one wearing the Chupacabra-costume, supposedly being Mr. Smiley's accomplice and lover, and told Luis when he asked about Charlene that he would never see her again and should just forget about her.

However, Velma noticed that the guide's pockets were seemingly filled with coffee-beans, and remembering that Charlene having the same problem made her realize that the guide was Charlene, and therefore removed her disguise, revealing her. Charlene then admitted that she never loved Luis and simply tried to marry him so she could take his incomes and later dumb him and share them with Smiley. However, their scheme was stopped and both she and Smiley were arrested for their crimes.

Notes/trivia[]

  • Even though Charlene clearly wears a mask of the guide's face while disguised, only her wig and glasses are removed when she's "unmasked" by Velma. Her much darker lipstick from the disguise also stays on, even though she and the guide-disguise looks nothing alike when it comes to their faces.
  • The museum guide's character model was reused for Paige Turner from DC Comics' Scooby-Doo! Where Are You? story, Ghost Writers. Unlike the disguise, she is a friendly librarian, and her hair is now brown and wears a grey suit.
