He appeared to be good-natured, being a friendly neighborhood dog trainer. But his true nature of being stingy and mischievous was uncovered when he was unmasked as the Ghost of Buster McMuttmauler, as he was trying to get the collar for the jewels. Despite his ungenerous nature, he is shown to be polite towards others.

Mr. Trixenstuff unmasked.

The gang asked him if he'd seen Mrs. Knittingham after she was kidnapped by the ghost of Buster McMuttMauler. He claimed he hadn’t, but promised to let them know if he did. Upon leaving, he complimented Scooby's family collar, much to Scooby's disgust.

When the ghost was captured, he was unmasked as the culprit. He wanted to steal the Doo family collar and sell it. He was then taken to jail by Mr. Goodman.
