Mr. Hollander was a wealthy man and the owner of his family homestead in a Louisiana bayou.

Physical appearance[]

Mr. Hollander is an African-American man with short black hair and glasses. He wears a dress shirt with a light-yellow ascot, a blue blazer with large lapels, a light yellow pocket square, and blue pants.

Personality[]

Hollander is very defensive of his mansion, his mother giving it to him in her will and living in it his whole life even after his brother left. As such, he felt entitled to the property and the surrounding swamp. Because his mother's second mansion was flooded at the bottom of the swamp, Hollander turned to crime to terrorize the swamp, scaring away anyone who might try to claim the mansion for themselves.

History[]

Early life[]

When Hollander's mother died, she gave the homestead to him, as he had lived in the mansion for his entire life. Hollander's brother, however, moved out. Also his mother's second mansion became flooded and submerged at the bottom of a swamp, where it has since become abandoned.

Scooby-Doo (DC Comics)[]

Hollander disguised himself as a swamp monster to prevent others from challenging his right to the flooded mansion, which he kept as a secret treasure. The disguise may have been based on the stories from Hollander's brother, since as a child his brother told about a monster in the swamp. He was first seen attacking Hollander's butler, Roland, as he brought the dogs outside for breakfast. Despite being the culprit, Hollander reported the crime to Mystery Inc., providing them with a sketch of the monster.

Mr. Hollander unmasked.

While searching the swamp, Mystery Inc. spotted the monster, but could not pursue it as they had to bring a sick Velma back to the mansion bedroom to rest. However, later, the monster attacked Shaggy and Scooby in the kitchen. Suddenly, Velma entered and sneezed, startling the monster and making Hollander break character. He was unmasked, exposed for his crimes, and handed to authorities.
