Personality[]
He seemed relatively kind and a helpful man as he wanted the gang to have a peaceful day before the wrestling even starts the next day. However, he turned out to be a revengeful person who despises Mystery Inc. for putting his uncle in jail.
History[]
Scooby-Doo! World of Mystery[]
He had invited the gang over to Tokyo to see a local sumo wrestling match that was starting the following day. Thanking them for their arrival and telling them to head to the Imperial Palace for some rest before the next day.
While the gang was heading to the palace, Velma discovers a poster of Fuji's hypnotists acts, but was somehow unable to recognize him.

Hypnotist unmasked.
He was later in disguise as a sumo wrestler, he had been going around hypnotizing citizens and recruited another sumo to commit strange acts for the gang to see, and later stop the acts before the gang was able to get a law enforcer to notice, all to try and make them look insane as a way to get his revenge on them for getting his uncle arrested.
He however, did not realize Scooby was immune to the hypnosis effect and tripped over him and fell on his hypnotized partner, he was later arrested afterwards.
