The Moscow Invitational Hockey Tournament is a hockey tournament hosted at the Ice Hockey Complex in Moscow, Russia. It was attacked by the Frozen Fiend, the supposed ghost of an exiled hockey player, who stole the trophy, the Emperor's Cup.

Mystery Inc. visited the Moscow Invitational Hockey Tournament as Velma was a fan of ice hockey. However, during a game, the Frozen Fiend, the supposed ghost of a hockey player exiled from the rink, stole the Emperor's Cup, the diamond-encrusted trophy. So, Mystery Inc. began investigating the attacks. Midway through the investigation, Russian authorities found the trophy with the diamonds removed and wrongly incriminated American team captain Brett Hull for the crime. Mystery Inc. proved his innocence by incriminating the true culprit, figure skater Galina Korzhakov, for posing as the ghost to steal the diamonds.
