- To confuse the villains, Scooby and Shaggy disguise themselves as Fred and Daphne, respectively. But "Fred" whispers the complete sentence "I hope this works! Try to be a little quieter on the stairs." Scooby can't talk like that, but perhaps Shaggy was throwing his voice.
