Notes/trivia

  • In real-life, Moe Howard was the stage name of Moses Harry Horwitz (1897-1975). Howard was the de facto leader in the Three Stooges vaudville act, being the first member in its original incarnation in 1922. Moe continued to perform with the Stooges until 1970 when Larry Fine's stroke put an end to his career, and Joe DeRita needed to support his ailing wife. He tried unsuccessfully to revive the group one last time by having long time supporting foil Emil Sitka as a member of the slapstick comedy farce team, along with Joe DeRita; but the attempt was scrapped as Moe passed away on May 4, 1975, effectively putting an end to the Three Stooges.
