He was introduced to Velma Dinkley when the gang go to speak with Jason. He expressed his approval of Velma and called her "hot mama san". It was later revealed that he made a sock puppet and feminized it naming "her" Sheila. Jason wanted Velma to go on a double date with him, Minjo and Sheila.

- Minjo is the only online chat friend Jason refers to by name. The end credits however, only identify him as the "Japanese nerd".
