The Rockwellville mine was the site of an archaeology dig which uncovered a real pterodactyl egg.

The mine was on the land of the local orphanage, so anything of value found was, in theory, the property of the orphanage. The discovery of the pterodactyl egg meant that the money from its sale saved the orphanage.
