History[]
Scooby-Doo, Where Are You![]
Season one[]
Scooby-Doo and Shaggy Rogers were on a speeding handcar careening down a railroad trestle, and nearly collided with the speeding Midnight Express. But Shaggy managed to stop the handcar (with a little help from Scooby), and pump it in the other direction away from the train. Then Fred Jones pulled a switch so the handcar would be rerouted to a siding, and pulled the switch back and let the train pass by on the main line.

Notes/trivia[]
- The design for the Midnight Express locomotive is based off an Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway (now part of the BNSF Railway) F-series diesel locomotive. Most notable are parts of the Santa Fe logo being seen on the locomotive.
