McGurty was a corrupt archaeologist.
Physical appearance[]
McGurty is a middle-aged male with receding brown hair and an unkempt beard. He wore a tan archeologist uniform with brown buttons and a belt over a purple T-shirt.
Personality[]
McGurty rudely shames the gang for getting Professor Peabody to believe their "crackpot theories". While hiding his greedy secretive side on keeping treasure he found for himself and other archeologists.

Scooby-Doo! in Jungle Jeopardy[]
McGurty was the leading archaeologist against the gang and the professor after hearing about their description of seeing a cat creature guarding the entrance to a Mayan pyramid.
McGurty unmasked.
He was scaring people away because of the treasure he found by dressing as a cat creature, along with three other members of the archeologist team. They used traps around the jungle against any wanderers, hollowed out the inside of a volcano and used machines, they created and his underneath a tunnel to a salt mine to make it look like it was active, and even kidnapped Fred and the girls after they escaped a rolling log trap. In the end, he was found out and arrested.
