Martin Lumpke is a fashion designer and rival to Jean Paul Poupon.

Physical appearance[]

Martin Lumpke is a chubby Caucasian male with black hair and a small beard, wearing sunglasses and gold stud earrings. He wears a light yellow buttoned shirt, multiple rings, and a bead necklace, along with brown pants and black shoes.

Personality[]

Lumpke is a flamboyant man with mannerisms with a "camp gay" aesthetic, expressing immediate admiration toward Fred's "delicious" masculine appearance. He praised his own perceived "brilliance" while despising Jean Paul Poupon's. Their partnership ended over a disagreement over using fake fur, which Lumpke supported but Poupon strongly opposed. While Poupon insisted on using real animal fur, Lumpke had no qualms with fake fur, insisting it was equally luscious as real fur.

Despite being bitter rivals with Poupon, Lumpke remained friendly with Plotnovich, who sided with him. Lumpke commended Plotnovich for choosing his perceived "brilliance" over Poupon's darkness but showed a possessive attitude toward her, claiming he and Poupon fought over her affection. So, even though he did not use real animal fur, Samson, an anti-fur activist, still hated him just as much as Poupon for his chauvinistic attitude toward Plotnovich, stating that his hatred for them both extended beyond their use of fur.

History[]

Early history[]

Martin Lumpke entered a partnership with fellow fashion designer Jean Paul Poupon, his assistants Henry and Samson, and model Irena Plotnovich, forming a five-person group he called a family. However, Lumpke argued with Poupon over the use of fake fur, which Poupon strongly opposed because he insisted on using real animal fur. They both also became attracted to Plotnovich and began fighting over her, which ultimately led to the end of their partnership. Plotnovich sided with Lumpke, while Samson and Henry remained with Poupon.

Scooby-Doo! (DC Comics)[]

When a werewolf attacked Poupon and stole his fur collection for an upcoming fashion show, Mystery Inc. investigated the attack, with Fred and Daphne questioning and suspecting Lumpke. While Poupon claimed their partnership ended over Lumpke's use of fake fur, Lumpke claimed they split over Plotnovich, fighting each other for her affection.

After Mystery Inc. had gathered enough evidence, they arranged a meeting between Poupon and Lumpke. Though the werewolf then appeared, Mystery Inc. caught it and exposed Samson as the culprit, therefore proving Lumpke's innocence. Though Poupon and Lumpke's collections were destroyed, they got an idea for a new design from Shaggy and Scooby's outfits.
