Maria Hernandez is a waitress who disliked her career at Joust for Fun, which made her a possible suspect to be the Black Knight.
Physical appearance[]
Maria is a Hispanic female with long brown hair, red lipstick and brown eyes. She wears a pink and orange dress, and red slippers.
Personality[]
She seems a very nice and chatty person, but seemed to be not doing well as her car broke down, had rent due and had a slow business. Despite that, she gladly got the gang to help out for a bit.
If she was the culprit[]
She despised her job as a waitress at Joust for Fun and soon got greedy when finding out she could get rich forcing the owner into selling it to another company.
History[]
Scooby-Doo! Mystery Adventures[]
The gang immediately encountered her in the dining room and she happily greeted them, asking if they wanted a table for five, but what they were actually doing was looking for the princess. She then tells them that things haven't been going so well for her when the knight showed up, with her bills being due, her car broken down and the slow business of course, but also didn't mind some assistance since dishes were left scattered about and they needed to be equally measured.
After helping with the dishes, she awarded the gang a clue, and was of course added to the suspects list because of her mentioning about her failing career, but before leaving, she asked for another simple task that involved serving guests root beer.
Possible ending[]

Maria unmasked.
She disliked her job as a waitress and wanted to sell Joust for Fun to Pizza Palace to be rich and to not have to be a waitress anymore, so she dressed up as the Black Knight, kidnapped Bernice and disguised a tricycle as a dragon to force Jane McHaggis to sell the castle to the Pizza Palace for the sake of getting rich.
But it ended up backfiring and led to her getting arrested by Officer Jenkins thanks to all the clues the gang found, including her leaving her car repair bill and keys near a Pizza Palace coupon, and even dropping her license plate when chasing the gang around as the dragon.
Scooby-Doo! Activity Challenge[]
Her mini games were reprised in a collection of others from the Mystery Adventures trilogy.
