Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated[]

Season one[]

Portillo was first seen in the library after Mystery Inc. member Daphne Blake bumped into him.

Mystery Inc. consulted with Dr. Portillo to learn more about the Que Horrifico monster that had been turning the local children into monsters. Portillo explained the legend to them in greater detail. However, he aroused suspicion after Mystery Inc. found that he owned a pan flute and blankets that resemble the monster's costume.

Mystery Inc. then spied on Portillo at his house late at night, but Portillo caught them. He let Mystery Inc. into his house, where they bound him with restraints to prevent him from transforming into the monster. Despite Mystery Inc.'s suspicions, Portillo was proven to be innocent after Que Horrifico appeared with Portillo still chained to an armchair.

Que Horrifico's true identity was proven to be Mary Anne Gleardan. After the mystery was solved, he came by K-Ghoul to treat the gang and Angel Dynamite to a pan flute concert.
