Luis Otero is the manager of the café in his family's hotel in Veracruz, Mexico and ex-fiancée of Charlene.

Physical appearance[]

Luis is a tall Hispanic man with a sturdy build. He also has bags under his eyes like his mother. He has short black hair. He wears a white collared shirt with a blue blazer, light blue jeans with a brown belt and light brown shoes.

Personality[]

Luis is very kind to Charlene and his brother Alejo along with the rest of his family. He is a bit of a coward (of which he's ashamed, since his fear prevented him from saving Alejo when he almost fell off a cliff) and seemed to agree with Diego Fuente when it came to selling the hotel even though Alejo rejected the idea. He also learns not to "judge a book by its cover" after Charlene was revealed to be one of the culprits behind El Chupacabra. He also smiles (along with Alejo) when Shaggy "made a career out of it" after Luis admitted he was scared.

History[]

Scooby-Doo! and the Monster of Mexico[]

Luis was engaged to marry Charlene, but she only pretended to love him to get land for her real lover, Mr. Smiley.

Appearances[]

Notes/trivia[]

  • Although Luis claimed Chupacabra knocked him out, Daphne couldn't find a bump on his head. This may lead viewers to suspect that he was Chupacabra until the truth was revealed later. Ironically, something similar happened later with Manu Tuiama in Aloha, Scooby-Doo!.
