The living statues were two large robots controlled by an unnamed thief disguised as a monk.
Physical appearances[]
They were two tall golden statues. With the right one having a large build and the left one being skinnier and more older, they both have purple eye, claws, pointy ears and wear robes, pointy hats and jeweled neck pieces.
History[]
Scooby-Doo! World of Mystery[]
The large one of the two came to life and attacked the gang outside, and scared away the monk chief. The gang splitted up and ran into the Shwe Dagon Pagoda, the two cowards were in a hallway thinking they got away, but they were wrong as the skinnier statue came to life and attacked them.
Meanwhile, Fred and the girls ran past one statue, which Velma accidently tripped over and caused her glasses to fall off. She got on the ground to look for them, only for the statue in front of her to come to life and hand her them, following up with a chase, which led to the gang reunited with each other and diving out of the way of the two statues, making them collide with each other, they broke apart and it was revealed that they were robots.
The culprit responsible was later revealed to be a monk the gang met earlier, who was actually a thief in disguise, she used an old legend about evil spirits who were the former protectors of the pagoda to pretend the statues got possessed so she could steal the real ones and replace them with robots.
