The trio of bank robbers used the puppets as a made up legend of them coming to life so that they could scare away people and close down the Fun Time Puppet Co. factory and leave for a vacation at the beach.

- Some of the puppets have inconsistent colors that change throughout the book. With the red haired green one having normal light brown wood for it's body and the dummy having orange hair and green eyes during it's first appearance, but having brown hair and a tuxedo in a later one.
