The Lion Man was the disguise of Professor Walgrave.
Physical appearance[]
He has the appearance of a well built adult man with a lion head and a brown main. He wore a brown skirt with black straps and brown furry bands on his arms and legs, he is also shown caring around a spear.
Personality[]
He's both hostile and territorial in the area near the bungalow, preventing people from discovering him stealing Elephant tusks from a graveyard.
Powers and abilities[]
- High stamina: He is surprisingly quick as he was able to catch up with the Mystery Machine for quite a bit when chasing the gang down the road.
History[]
Scooby-Doo! World of Mystery[]
He was sighted by many while at the national park and one of the people working there assumed it was the cause of black magic.
The gang soon got to see the Lion Man when checking out the bungalow and high tailed on out of there in the Mystery Machine, with it sprinting after it.
After they escaped, the gang sneakily returned back and saw him taking something from underneath the bungalow, which turned out to be an elephant graveyard it was robbing of its tusks. It soon discovered them again and another chase on the road pursues.
A trap was later set involving the classic fake leaves over a hole in the ground, which almost went wrong when an actual lion got involved, but still succeeded when it tackled the half man half lion into the trap.
Walgrave unmasked.
They pulled the lion out of the hole and unmasked him as Professor Walgrave, who wanted to keep people from discovering the elephant graveyard under the bungalow so he could steal and sell tusks for ivory. He was presumably incarcerated soon after.
