The Ling Ming Candy Ring was a million-dollar artifact from the Ming Dynasty of China, a candy ring that once belonged to a child emperor. The ring was stolen by a group of acrobats, and though Mystery Inc. recovered it, Scooby swallowed it.

The Ling Ming Candy Ring was kept in a window display at one of the stores owned by the Ling Toy Company. However, during a New Year parade, a parade dragon came to life and attacked the window display, stealing the dragon. Mystery Inc. solved the case, incriminating Wu and his acrobat group for stealing the ring, but when Fred attempted to remove the ring from Wu's finger, it flew off into Scooby's mouth, who accidentally swallowed it.
