History[]

Be Cool, Scooby-Doo![]

Season one[]

The archaeologist's team found Viking runestones buried in a forest and waited for the permits to excavate them. However, the forest ranger, working an illegal logging operation in the area, withheld the excavation permit to prevent them from interfering with the logging operation. Therefore, the archaeologists ran out of their grant money for food and were forced to eat moss to survive. Mystery Inc. encountered them in the forest while investigating Viking ghost attacks in the area, which the ranger was also responsible for.

While detained at the ranger station, Mystery Inc. found the archaeologists' permit in the trash can, proving Ranger Mark intentionally withheld it from them. When Mark and his accomplices, Donald and Edith, were caught for their crimes, the archaeologists were finally granted their permit to excavate the runestones.
