The Lasso of Truth,[1] also known as the magic lasso,[2] is a weapon used by Wonder Woman. It is a magical glowing lasso that, when used, forces the target to tell the truth to the user.

Early history[]
Before Diana was Wonder Woman, her mother, Queen Hippolyta, also bore the mantle in 1942, and used the lasso in binding Vandal Savage, along with the energy of Green Lantern's power ring, and Doctor Fate's magic.[3]

Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?[]
During her first encounter with the Minotaur, Wonder Woman attempted to use the Lasso of Truth against the monster, but it was ineffective due to the Minotaur's costume nullifying the lasso's effects. However, once the Minotaur was captured and the costume was torn away, the perpetrator, an unnamed museum curator, confessed to the crime. (The Scooby of a Thousand Faces!)
