Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase[]
Bill McLemore and Eric Staufer made the laser for the state science fair. Bill, however, used the laser for his own personal gain, by bringing the Phantom Virus into the real world, hoping it would scare Eric away so he could take all the prize money for himself. He also used it to send Mystery Inc. into Eric's video game so they would never figure out who created the virus. It later beamed them out once they beat the game.
Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase (GBA)[]
Mystery Inc. repeadly use the laser to get into Eric's video game to solve the case of the Phantom Virus.
