Kevin Smith is an American actor, filmmaker, and public speaker, as well as, comic book writer, author, comedian/raconteur, and podcaster. He gained attention from his 1994 low-budget film, Clerks, which he also starred in as Silent Bob. The success of the film led to several loose sequels. From 2012-2018, he developed and starred in the AMC reality show Comic Book Men.

  • He's close friends with Scooby-Doo! and WWE: Curse of the Speed Demon co-star Jason Mewes, who's starred in most of the films directed by Smith.
  • He moderated the Rock and Roll Mystery panel at San Diego Comic-Con International 2015.
  • He dated What's New, Scooby-Doo? guest star Joey Lauren Adams.
  • At some point during the 90s, Smith was offered to write a Scooby-Doo movie but turned it down after longtime collaborator Scott Mosier declined to co-write the film.[1]
