Kevin is a malevolent computer virus with artificial intelligence, created by Mark and Ricky for Dr. Phineus Phibes.
Physical appearance[]
Kevin appears on screens as a featureless, partially-obscured white face over a static background.
Personality[]
Kevin was designed to be subservient to Dr. Phineus Phibes, doing his bidding, but he soon became much more evil and dangerous than Phibes. A misanthropic megalomaniac, he demonstrated extreme wrath towards Shaggy and Scooby and sought to enslave humanity with his power.
Powers and abilities[]
- Electronic control: If given access to a home security system, Kevin could control all the electronics in a household, including appliances, fire sprinklers, and surveillance cameras.
- Self-duplication: If given access to an internet connection, Kevin could upload himself onto a satellite, then spread himself to other computers.
History[]
Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get a Clue![]
Season one[]
Mark and Ricky designed the virus under Dr. Phibes' command. Phibes intended to release the virus into the United States Army's defense computer, granting him access to the weapons. However, Albert Shaggleford, under the guise of Phibes' assistant, Dr. Trebla, informed Shaggy and Scooby about the plot and instructed them to intercept the virus into their mansion's security system. However, they were unable to turn off the security system, and the virus soon took control over the house.
When Phibes learned from General Macardle that the virus had not reached the United States Army, he sent Mark and Ricky to Shaggleford Manor to retrieve the virus. However, Kevin plotted to upload himself onto a nearby satellite, spreading his influence to all computers in the world and enslaving humanity. So, Scooby helped Mark and Ricky install an antivirus software into the computer, preventing the upload and trapping Kevin in a small laptop. Mark and Ricky then uploaded the virus into Phibes' submarine lair, and Kevin attacked Phibes in the lair.[1]
Season two[]
After using nanotechnology to enhance his physical appearance, Dr. Phineus Phibes asked Kevin if he was the most beautiful person in the world. However, Kevin said that the Nifties, and Shaggy Rogers and Scooby-Doo, were more attractive than him, and this led Phibes to plot to eliminate all of them.[2]

- Kevin resembles MAL, Dr. Blight's evil artificial intelligence program from American animated series Captain Planet and the Planeteers.
