Keith Giffen is an American comic book illustrator and writer. He is known for his runs on Justice League International and Justice League 3000, co-created with J.M. DeMatteis. He also co-created the Jaime Reyes version of Blue Beetle, with Cully Hamner for DC Comics, and co-created Rocket Raccoon for Marvel Comics. He was also a storyboard artist for the Warner Bros. Animation cartoons Batman Beyond (starring Will Friedle and Kevin Conroy) and Static Shock (starring Phil LaMarr and Jason Marsden).
He and DeMatteis were given the job of turning Scooby Apocalypse into a fully realized comic, based on an idea by Jim Lee, with Giffen plotting, while DeMatteis handling the dialogue. Giffen left after the thirty-first issue.
