The Jones mansion was the Crystal Cove residence where Fred Jones, Jr. lived with his father. Fred has filled it with traps to catch intruders.
The house was temporarily unnoccupied after Fred's father was arrested for unethical acts, one of which was the discovery that he wasn't Fred's real father, and Fred's subsequent attempt to search around for his birth parents.[2] During his search (which went nowhere), he was summoned back to Crystal Cove,[3] where he lived like a bachelor.[4] Then his birth parents popped up on the doorstep and lived with him there for a while,[5] until they turned out to be no better,[6] and felt forced to move out himself.[7]
When Mystery Inc. destroyed the Evil Entity, the universe was altered, creating a town that was unaffected by its influence, and Fred lived a happy family life with his birth parents in the mansion.[1]
History[]
Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated[]
Season one[]
Fred Sr. talked to his son in his room about there being more to life than traps.[8]
Mayor Jones was at home when Fred called him for help from Gatorsburg, but the mayor refused to get up from his comfortable recliner to go pick up Fred.[9]
Fred Jr. got ready for prom in his bedroom getting caught in his own trap. When Alice May arrived to pick him up he dumped her because Daphne Blake had wished to go with him herself.[10]
Fred Jr. and Daphne played with the traps in his house when under the influence of Aphrodite.[11]
Fred Jones, Sr. was caught searching his son's room by Velma Dinkley.[12]
The house was haunted by the Shadowy Figure.[13]
Season two[]
With his fake dad gone, the house had turned into a complete mess.[4]

The gang had gathered here to discuss the disappearance of everyone in Crystal Cove and how it might link to the Evil Entity, when the ground suddenly opened up and a hoarde of Kriegstaffebots emerged from a tank, and began shooting at them. Fred quickly destroyed them using one of the many traps within the house.[14]
After the gang had destroyed the Evil Entity, erasing the previous timeline and all of its negative influence, Fred was dumbfounded to learn that his parents (who had now reverted back to their non-surgically altered appearance) had never touched a trap in their lives. Instead, they were obstetricians, delivering 'happy babies' into the world. There was also great surprise at the appearance of Daphne's parents, who were there to help plan her and Fred's wedding.[15]
