Jonathan Winters was an American comedian and actor, author, and artist. He recorded several now regarded classic comedy albums for the Verve Records label. Some of his TV and film career highlights consist of The Wacky World of Jonathan Winters, Mork & Mindy, Hee Haw, and starred in the film It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, as well as having a cameo in the film The Flintstones. He was also the voice of Papa Smurf for Sony's CGI/live-action films, The Smurfs and The Smurfs 2, the latter of which was his last role.

Notes/trivia[]
- As a callback to the Scooby-Doo episode he guest starred in, Winters played Old Man Frickert in the live-action TV film Scooby-Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster. The scene ended up being cut, however, as it was deemed too gratuitous.[1]
