Jonathan Wellington Muddlemore originally appeared as the star of the short-lived The Funky Phantom, produced by Hanna-Barbera, and aired on ABC in 1971. He was voiced by Daws Butler, who simply reused his Snagglepuss voice, which was based on comedian Bert Lahr.
