John Babcock was a guard at the Flotsam Prison.
Physical appearance[]
John is a middle-aged man with orange hair, sharp sideburns and a black pencil mustache. He wore a light green shirt and a regular green tie.
Personality[]
He was really in need of wanting the wardens job and appeared to be nervous along with the other guards whenever the ghost of Jake Bogart shows up. However, it was revealed he had the audacity to go extreme lengths to get his goal as warden, by initiating a riot, and is shown to not hesitate on shooting anyone that interferes with his scheme.
History[]
Scooby-Doo (Archie Comics)[]
John at one point tried to get the job as warden, but wasn't able to do to it already being taken by Jeff Lepard.
He later created a projection basing it off of Jake Bogart, a former inmate at Flotsam Prison who was killed during a cricket match, and planned to rile up all the inmates at the D block and initiate a riot, then go after Jeff Lepard to get him out so he could take his job. While not acting as the ghost, he would act like he was being held hostage with the other guards, and later leave when everyone is distracted to start the ghost speeches.

John revealed as the culprit.
He was eventually found out by Fred, who was undercover as an inmate, thanks to some theories he was hearing about. John quickly turned around and pointed his gun at Fred, but was interrupted by Shaggy and Scooby frightening him with a ghost disguise, leading him to get disarmed and later arrested.
