Joey Chestnut is an American competitive eater, known for eating hot dogs.
Physical appearance[]
Chestnut is a thin, middle-aged man with buckteeth and brown hair combed to the side. He wears a beige V-neck T-shirt with a red collar and a white chest with an image of a hot dog on it. He also wears red shorts and blue sneakers with white shoelaces.
Personality[]
Chestnut is known for his good sportsmanship, in contrast to his competitor, "Big Eddy" Eats. He is not overly attached to or defensive of his achievements, reacting rationally and calmly when he loses and not accusing his rival of cheating, even though those accusations were later revealed to be true. He is, however, gluttonous as he consumes vast quantities of food even outside of his competitions, not just hot dogs.

Season two[]
Chestnut participated in a hot-dog eating contest at Haggerty's Hot-Dog Factory against "Big Eddy" Eats. Eats cheated to defeat him the previous year, giving him muffins before the contest to ruin his appetite. However, the event was attacked by the Gnarled One, a cursed tree monster, before the contest could begin. He later participated in a do-over competition against Eats, though he lost the contest to a third-party spectator, Scooby. When the Gnarled One attacked the event a second time, Chestnut collaborated with Mystery Inc. to investigate the crime. After incriminating Eats for posing as the monster, Chestnut participated in a third contest, this time against Scooby, though he ended up losing to another spectator, Shaggy.
