Joe Bell was the disguise of Dorian Wormwood, the retired stage actor posing as his own handyman.
Physical appearance[]
Joe Bell was a middle-aged, rugged outdoors-man with a brown beard. He wore a red checkered shirt over a grey collared shirt, as well as a blue baseball cap and brown work gloves.
Personality[]
Bell initially appeared intimidating when he entered the room, but when Mystery Inc. questioned him, Bell immediately became nervous and defensive, denying involvement even though he was never accused.
History[]
Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? (DC Comics)[]
Joe Bell was the disguise of retired actor Dorian Wormwood, who faked his own death in front of Mystery Inc. After witnessing the "murder," Mystery Inc. met with Moriarity (another one of Wormwood's disguises), who claimed Bell was out of the house running an errand. They later met with Joe Bell when he returned and questioned him, but Daphne entered the room and exposed him as a disguise. Wormwood unmasked himself and admitted to disguising himself as all the mansion staff, hoping to fool Mystery Inc. to prove he could still act. Joe Bell was named after Joseph Bell, a surgeon and Sir Conan Doyle's inspiration for the character Sherlock Holmes.
