Jefferson Stillwall was the great-great-great grandfather of Penrod Stillwall.

Physical appearance[]

Stillwall was an elderly man, with long white hair, white bushy eyebrows, and a somewhat surly expression. He wore 1800s-style clothing comprised of a brown double-breasted overcoat with dark brown cuffs and lapels, a light tan formal shirt with frilly cuffs, and a dark pink neck scarf tied formally and tucked under the coat like a Victorian-era puffy necktie. The specter also wore gray slim pants, black shoes, and formal white silk gloves.

History[]

Early life[]

He hid a vast amount of money on his property and left a riddling clue in his diary. He also had his portrait painted and placed it so that it would point to the treasure. Unfortunately, someone (probably Asa Shanks) moved the painting in the years after his death and that clue was spoiled.

Scooby-Doo, Where Are You![]

Season two[]

Penrod dressed up as Jefferson's headless ghost to scare people away because he was afraid someone would steal his family's treasure.

Appearances[]

Notes/trivia[]

  • It's easy to imagine that Penrod told the story of the Headless Specter to be more menacing, but he apparently didn't tell anyone how Jefferson came to lose his head.
