Jamison Steven Ripley was the star of a TV-series called "The Round Table Gang," playing the character of Sir Lancelot. According to Daphne, the show was about a teenage version of King Arthur and his court. Velma Dinkley was a big fan of the show, particularly of Ripley (even owning an action figure of his character from the show).
Physical appearance[]
Ripley is an adult man with blue eyes, collar-long orange hair and a matching spade-shaped beard.
Personality[]
Ripley's somewhat disillusioned by his role, believing his character to be more than just a television role. As such he showed generosity by signing Velma's action figure of him for free. Ripley's true colors came to be greedy when he was caught, trying to find the treasure and being willing to endanger others to do it.
History[]
What's New, Scooby-Doo?[]
Early life[]
He used to play Lancelot on TRTG until the show was cancelled, forcing him to work at numerous renaissance faires for a living instead.
Season two[]
In the present, he had the position of king at the Ye Olde Renaissance Faire in Glasburgh, Scotland, where he met the gang and Velma, who was a huge fan of him.
Ripley is revealed as the culprit.
Ripley operated the Glasburgh Dragon by remote-control so that he could drive people away and find a treasure that was supposed to be in the castle. In reality, the myth of the treasure was just made up by Ewan McEwan as a way to attract tourists to the fair (Mr. McEwan even shaved off his eyebrows and claimed that the dragon torched them to really sell it). He was later arrested for his actions.
