James Gunn is an American writer, director, producer, actor, musician, and cartoonist. Although Gunn has written and directed several films, he has gained wide acclaim for writing and directing the Marvel Studios film Guardians of the Galaxy, followed by the sequel, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (both featuring the voice of Seth Green) as well as directing the DC film The Suicide Squad. According to a tweet, James Gunn would have directed and written Scooby-Doo 3 but it was scrapped due to the lackluster performance of Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed. According to a now deleted tweet, he had written Velma to be explicitly gay, but that was removed by Warner Bros.[1]
