Colonel Jackson T. Pettigrew was a Confederate soldier from the American Civil War, who became a victim of Simone Lenoir and Lena Dupree.

Physical appearance[]

Prior to being drained by Simone and Lena, Pettigrew wore a Confederate soldier's uniform, a gray slouch hat, trousers and jacket with white gloves. Pettigrew sports a white mustache, as well as long white hair. As a spirit, Pettigrew looked more or less the same. As a zombie, Pettigrew's uniform was tattered and ripped in several places.

Personality[]

At first, Pettigrew looked like he tried to harm the gang, but he only tried to warn them off the island so Simone, Jacques, and Lena wouldn't drain their life force.

Being a soldier, he also maintained a high sense of discipline and bravery, as he saved Scooby and Shaggy by physically tackling down Simone and Lena as a zombie, and eventually thanking the Mystery Inc. for avenging his death by giving them a military salute.

Powers and abilities[]

  • Intangibility: As a ghost, he can pass through solid objects.

History[]

Early life[]

During the American Civil War, Pettigrew was in the 8th Louisiana regiment. He and his troops were stationed in Moonscar Island to establish barracks against opposing Union forces. However, he and his troops (along with a handful of Union soldiers) would eventually stumble upon Simone and Lena, thus falling victim to the werecats by having their life forces drained. For the next 133 years, he and his troops would wander the island as undead every harvest moon, attempting to warn any subsequent victims from suffering the same fate they went through.

Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island[]

While staying in Moonscar Mansion for the night, Scooby-Doo and Shaggy Rogers stumbled upon an old mirror that once belonged to Pettigrew. His ghostly image suddenly appeared in the mirror. Sticking out his arm and moving towards them, Pettigrew urged Shaggy and Scooby to leave, frightening them. When the Mystery Inc. investigated the mirror, they discovered Pettigrew's name printed on the back, thus learning that the island played a role during the American Civil War.

Pettigrew appears again, when Scooby and Shaggy are running from Simone and Lena. Just as the werecats grab the two, Pettigrew and another Confederate zombie lunge at them, causing them to release Scooby and Shaggy.

After the werecats were defeated and died out, Pettigrew reappeared once more as a spirit, to thank and salute the gang and Beau Neville for defeating them and for putting the ghosts to rest in peace before disappearing, apparently only noticed by a startled Scooby.
