Malpumpkin is a stern authority figure, responding to a security breach by immediately tightening security and intimidating passersby. Season three[]

Malpumpkin managed the security at the Moscow Invitational Hockey Tournament. When the Frozen Fiend, the supposed ghost of an exiled hockey player, stole the Emperor's Cup, Malpumpkin immediately strengthened security, having Mystery Inc. frisked before they could enter the arena. Later, Malpumpkin and his officers found the trophy, but with the diamonds removed. Finding American hockey player Brett Hull's jersey at the crime scene, Malpumpkin saw this as enough evidence to order Hull's arrest. However, after Mystery Inc. proved Hull's innocence by incriminating figure skater Galina Korzhakov instead, Malpumpkin released Hull and arrested Korzhakov instead. Though Korzhakov attempted to flee the scene, Mystery Inc. and Malpumpkin found her hiding in a matryoshka doll and captured her.
