I Scooby Dooby Do is the twenty-second episode of season 1 of Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!
Premise[]
The gang attend the wedding of two of their close friends. But Kimmy, the bride-to-be, is superstitious and would consider the appearance of a vengeful ghost bride as a bad omen. So when one turns up, bridesmaids Daphne and Velma have to keep her oblivious of it, while still trying to solve the mystery with the rest of the Gang.
Synopsis[]
On a foggy night, Nate is reading his weddings vows in preparation for his wedding to a girl named Kimmy. He hears crying and then sees someone crying on a cliff. He assumes its Kimmy and tries to apologize but she turns around and is revealed to be a monster.
The gang is getting ready for Nate and Kimmy's wedding. Scooby is the Wedding official and Shaggy is the best man, which stresses him out - especially the part about him giving a speech. Daphne and Velma arrive in their brides maid outfits, much to Velma and the others dislike, but to Daphne's joy. While Daphne moves gracefully in her outfit Velma just stomps around in hers due to the heels. The gang heads down stairs and signs the wedding guest book. Nate then arrives and tells the gang he was attacked by a ghost last night. Daphne claims is not good because Kimmy is very superstitious. Velma then asks why Kimmy would choose a haunted wedding venue. Nate explains she didn't know because she loved the bed and breakfast so much that Nate couldn't tell her about it and assumed the ghost was just an urban legend. Nate explains that 100 years prior, a photographer was trying to take a picture of a very large wedding party on the cliff's edge but he couldn't get everyone in the frame. He asked them all to take a few steps back, when a meteor suddenly hit the cliff, leaving the bride the sole survivor. Nate then says the ghost of the Cliff Bride haunts the area as an omen of bad luck. The gang agrees to help Nate solve the mystery and save the wedding.
They split up with Shaggy and Scooby at the buffet table. While Scooby is eating, Shaggy is preparing for his speech, which doesn't go well. Suddenly, they hear crying and from behind them the Cliff Bride appears. Meanwhile, Fred, Daphne, and Velma are searching the area where the ghost attacked Nate. Daphne is having trouble moving gracefully through the rocky terrain but Velma manages to stomp her way across it. Shaggy and Scooby then appear running away from the Cliff Bride.
The Cliff Bride chases the gang with Daphne tripping and falling over the cliff. She hangs onto the ledge, but Velma manages to save her with her stomping. The gang escape the Cliff Bride by hiding in some flower pots. Daphne's dress gets ruined, but Velma's is alright. Just then, Kimmy arrives with her mother and Daphne tries to hide the ghost by using Shaggy's speech as an excuse. Kimmy is delighted by the speech and hopes no bad luck will happen. However, Kimmy's mother advises her that it is up to her and Nate (who she keeps ignoring) to make the wedding work.
Meanwhile, Nate and his mother are having a disagreement on where the DJ booth needs to be set up. The gang meets up with Nate again and tell him the mystery solving is going alright. However, Nate gets worried that the Cliff Bride might attack Kimmy, so Fred suggests they send someone to protect her without her finding out why. Since Nate can't do it, Daphne volunteers herself and Velma to do it. Shaggy notices a wedding mix CD and believes it's a clue. As Daphne and Velma get Kimmy ready for the wedding and protect her from the Cliff Bride, Velma notices how one of the windows overlooks the cliff where the ghost attacked them and Daphne find a pair of binoculars and radio headset. When Kimmy asks for her veil, Daphne goes to get it and, finding the Cliff Bride in the wardrobe, locks her inside of it. Kimmy notices the Cliff Bride's loud moaning, which Daphne and Velma try to hide. The Cliff Bride breaks out of the wardrobe and tries to attack, but gets pushed out of the room with a drawer shelf by Velma, which she tells Kimmy is feng shui. The Cliff Bride breaks back in, prompting Velma to try to stop it while Daphne distracts Kimmy with various hairstyles. Velma and Daphne manage to get Kimmy ready and out before the Cliff Bride gets them.
The wedding is about to begin with Shaggy stressing out more about his speech, but Fred tells Shaggy that after the Wedding they will then worry about speeches and ghosts. Daphne and Velma arrive and the wedding begins. Kimmy is walking down the aisle with the wedding music playing, but Daphne demands they speed it up. The gang tries to rush the wedding ceremony, much to Nate and Kimmy's confusion. They complained when the gang tried to get them to skip their vows, prompting Scooby to allow them on the the condition they hurry. As soon as Nate tries to say his vows, crying can be heard and the Cliff Bride suddenly appears out of thin air and attacks.
Everyone runs away and a musical chase scene begins. The gang runs away from the Cliff Bride, who somehow keeps phasing through everything. They try to get rid of the ghost by throwing the wedding presents at it but they pass right through her and destroy the DJ booth as the Cliff Bride suddenly disappears. Later, Kimmy is upset with Nate for not telling her about the ghost and they have a fight, each leaving in a huff. The gang is upset over ruining Nate and Kimmy's wedding, but Daphne cheers them up by saying that even though weddings are suppose to be happy fantasies they are also stress filled nightmares. Fred then comes up with a plan to catch the Cliff Bride.
At the wedding gazebo, Nate and Kimmy appear to be holding hands. The Cliff Bride appears, though it turns out to be Scooby and Shaggy and they start running. Fred, Daphne, and Velma try to catch the Cliff Bride with a net made of roses but fail. The Cliff Bride chases the gang but Daphne decides she has had enough, rips off her skirt, and tackles the Cliff Bride. They smash into the wedding tent and cause it to fall on the Cliff Bride, trapping her. Everyone arrives and the Cliff Bride is unmasked as Nate's mother, much to Kimmy's anger. However, Velma informs Kimmy that her mother was helping Nate's mother, who tries to play dumb about it. As Velma tries to explain the mystery, Nate and Kimmy tell her not to bother and indicate they intend to call the wedding off. Shaggy stops them and shows them their wedding video, simultaneously encouraging them to overcome their families dislike of each other and find love and explaining how and why their mothers tried to ruin their wedding. Nate's mother can't see without glasses, so Kimmy's mother used binoculars and a radio headset from a bed and breakfast window to direct her while she acted as the ghost. Then, they used a holographic projection of the Cliff Bride from the DJ booth to attack the ceremony. Besides making the ghost appear to be supernatural it allowed them both to be seen with the ghost to throw off suspicion, which Shaggy figured out when he noticed the writing of the CD matched Nate's mother's signature in the guest book. After he finishes everyone claps for him, and Shaggy realizes he successfully gave his best man speech.
Nate and Kimmy's mothers realize that they should put their dislike of each other behind them after realizing how well they worked together to ruin their kids wedding. Nate and Kimmy kiss as Scooby pronounces them husband and wife.

Animation mistakes and/or technical glitches[]

Inconsistencies/continuity errors and/or goofs/oddities[]
- Just as in Screama Donna, the body type of the villain doesn't and shouldn't fit in the monster costume. It would be impossible for someone like Nate's mother to wear the skinny disguise. It would even be hard for Kimmy's mother (who's much slimmer than Nate's mother) to wear it.
- The head of the Ghost of the Cliff Bride appears emerging through the tablecloth of the table the Gang are hiding under. But that can't work with either Nate's mother posing as the Cliff Bride, or with a projection - unless a holographic projector is underneath the table as well.
- Kimmy wants only good luck at her wedding and says, among other things, she's avoiding the color yellow. However, her wedding attire includes a wide yellow choker with a purple gemstone set in it.
- Velma remarks that stories like the legend of the Cliff Bride have a 100% chance of being true in the gang's experiences, but this doesn't make much sense, as they expose the supernatural for being fake.

Quotes[]
Fred: Right. Then the only other thing you have to do is perfectly sum up Nate and Kimmy's union with great wisdom, insight and humor in your Best Man speech. |
Velma: (Fred, Shaggy and Scooby-Doo try to be complimentary on first seeing the bridesmaid's dresses) |
Daphne: It's true weddings are supposed to be beautiful, wonderful, perfect fantasies, but never forget weddings are also supposed to be scary, stress filled, horrible nightmares! Your whole disagreeable family is together, you've spent more than all your money, and then crying ghosts throw you off a cliff! |
