The gang went to the hotel mansion for a stay at night thanks to a rainstorm that ruined their planned camping trip.
The stay led to them solving a mystery, which involved a ghost Clown scaring away the guests and kidnapping Mr. MacDuff, the owner, after they revealed the culprit as Marty, the hotel bellhop, he had signed a contract with a greedy real-estate developer and tried to get the place bought and later torn down as there was a large supply of purple goo that was worth a fortune in obtaining.
