History[]
Scooby-Doo (DC Comics)[]
Henry Rogers found a ruby scarab while exploring the Great Pyramid of Giza. However, during the expedition, they encountered a giant cobra and disappeared. His assistants, Omar and Khyyam, created the mechanical cobra to kidnap him and his guide, wrapping them in surgical bandages and shutting them in the kitchen pantry. Because of his disappearance, the government presumed he was lost and executed his will.
Mystery Inc., Omar, and Khyyam attended his will reading at the pyramid, where Rogers gave Omar and Khyyam university grants while Shaggy received the ruby scarab. However, Mystery Inc. began investigating when the giant cobra attacked them, kidnapping the lawyer, Ben Abi. During the investigation, Shaggy and Scooby found Rogers, Abi, and the guide, but mistook them for mummies and ran away.
Eventually, after capturing Omar and Khyyam, they freed the three hostages. Rogers thanked Mystery Inc. for their help, but asked for the ruby scarab back so he could bring it to a museum.
