Googie is a girl whom Shaggy Rogers once dated.
Googie is a Caucasian adult female, with short, fluffy, strawberry blonde hair (although it looks almost orange at times) and blue eyes. Her clothing greatly resembles Daphne's, consisting of a purple singlet, a turquoise skirt, purple sneakers and turquoise socks, along with turquoise earrings and a purple headband.
The announcer at the Tyler County racetrack described her as Shaggy's "adoring, but liberated girlfriend."
She cheers enthusiastically for Shaggy at his auto race and stands by him even after his transformation into a werewolf. However, despite this, she is slightly offensive, calling Shaggy a "nerd," whilst telling him off for (what she had believed) was him acting immature. She also gets frustrated by Shaggy's poor manners and lack of skill when it comes to romance.
Scooby-Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf
She cheered for him during his auto race in Tyler County and later accompanied him to the drive-by cinema. Googie was irritated when Shaggy began acting up, unaware that it's because he's starting to turn into a werewolf. Googie was kidnapped by the Hunch Bunch, along with Shaggy, Scooby-Doo, and Scrappy-Doo, and brought to Transylvania; where Count Dracula forced Shaggy to enter a monster road race, by bargaining back the latter's humanity. Googie supported Shaggy during his ordeal, and also drove along the race-course with Scrappy, using a radio to contact Shaggy and warn him about obstacles up ahead. She and Scrappy were very nearly dumped into a lava pit by the Hunch Bunch but were rescued in the nick of time by Scooby and Shaggy. Later on, during the race, she and Scrappy rode in a separate cart. They rescued Scooby-Doo when Genghis Kong was tickling his belly and helped Shaggy win the race. She then escaped back home with the others, where Shaggy reverted back to his regular self. She then watched a movie with Shaggy and the Doo family, unaware that Dracula and the Hunch Bunch were watching them from outside the window, planning their revenge.
- She may have been a cheerleader.
- Even though Shaggy and Googie are still together by the end of the film, it would never be explained when they broke-up.
- Her clothing color scheme is indirectly linked to the Googie Architecture theme from the 1940s-1960s, USA, which features sharp corners, geometric shapes, and bright, neon colors. This style, which shares her name ("Googie"), is most popular amongst motels, coffee houses, and gas stations. This affiliation matches based on her at-the-time boyfriend's love of cars and racing.
- During the majority of the film, her eyes were void of pupils; only in several scenes was this animation error corrected.
