Go West, You Meddling Kids is the single story of Scooby-Doo! Team-Up #23, by DC Comics.
Premise
El Kabong, the masked western hero, gets help from Mystery Inc., when the Fastest Ghost in the West scares everyone from Gopher Gulch.
Synopsis
Mystery Inc. drives in to Gopher Gulch, confused as to where all the people are. Then Quick Draw McGraw and Baba Looey showed up, pointing their weapons at the group. McGraw was suspicous of the detectives because they showed up in the middle of a crime wave by the fastest ghost in the west. As they were speaking, the ghost had been running behind them stealing from the town - and from McGraw himself. He then agreed to accept help from Mystery Inc. McGraw called his bloodhound, Snuffles, and had him track the ghost (after bribing him). Without his badge, McGraw was unable to disperse justice. So McGraw becomes El Kabong, while they all track the ghost. They run into Droop-a-Long Coyote at the entrance of the cave that they tracked the ghost. There, they discovered who the ghost was: Sheriff Ricochet Rabbit.
The Rabbit was hypnotized, but Kabong managed to wake him up with wacks from his banjo. Ricochet immediately pointed his gun at the superhero, thinking he was a criminal due to his mask, but Fred talked him down. Ricochet was hypnotized as he tracked down the Some-Trance Kid, who was responsible for making the rabbit rob the town. They went into the cave, but the Kid multiplied himself in order to confuse his opponents. However, thie scared Shaggy and Scooby so they raced towards the real villain and knocked him down. Hoping to arrest him, Fred and Doop-a-Long tried to grab him, but were hypnotized into chickens. They were woken up by El Kabong, who then knocked out the criminal before he could hypnotize anybody else. The treasures were returned, and Snuffles and Scooby were given treats for their trouble.

Inconsistencies/continuity errors and/or goofs/oddities
- This story ignores the fact that Quick Draw McGraw and Baba Looey had been turned into fictional characters for the direct-to-video film Scooby-Doo! Mask of the Blue Falcon.
- Even though Fred was quick to dismiss the Impossibles as both a music group and superhero group in the previous story, Nothing is Impossible, he pointed out that El Kabong is clearly Quick Draw.
