History[]

Early life[]

It was worn by a crook who Mystery Incorporated brought to justice. They later donated the costume to the Coolsonian Criminology Museum.

Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed[]

The Giggling Green Ghost was put on display in the Coolsonian Criminology Museum. Later, the costume was stolen along with all the others by the Black Knight Ghost, the 10,000 Volt Ghost (Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed) and the Evil Masked Figure. It was not brought to life, however, it could have been brought to life but just not featured in the movie. The costume was later returned to the museum.

Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (GBA)[]

The Giggling Green Ghost was one of the costumes stolen from the Coolsonian Criminology Museum by the Evil Masked Figure, but accidently brought to life later on by Shaggy and Scooby. Encountered during Shaggy's escape from the Faux Ghost, and later appearing around spots near bottomless pits.

It's method of attacking involves floating in a set pattern, then vanishing and reappearing a couple seconds later to do the path again backwards. It is also immune to all attacks and can phase through floors.

Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (PC)[]

The Green Ghost was a minor recurring monster encountered during the search around Wickles Manor and the Faux Ghost.

In the mini games "Get it Together" and "Friend or Faux?" it will try to fly after Scooby or Shaggy as the ran around collecting items to progress, while in "Ghost Huntin'" a bunch of clones try to go after Scooby while he defends himself with a homemade ghost buster, along with Captain Cutler's ghost, the Black Knight and Miner 49er.

Appearances[]

Notes/Trivia[]

  • It is based on the Green Ghosts from the Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! episode A Night of Fright is No Delight. While there were two in the original cartoon, there was only one Giggling Green Ghost in the film.
  • In the Game Boy Advance version of the movie's tie-in video game, the Giggling Green Ghost is specifically mentioned as one of the monsters brought to life by Shaggy and Scooby in the Monster Hive, implying it was meant to be brought to life in the film but scrapped for unknown reasons.
    • The Giggling Green Ghost was also one of the monsters seen chasing civilians in early concept art for the film alongside other scrapped monsters, further hinting this.
