The giant lizard monster was a robot operated by a group of looters.
Physical appearance[]
The lizard monster was a gargantuan green reptile monster, with Velma estimating it to be several hundred feet tall. It had sharp, white teeth, red eyes, sharp claws, and fins on the sides of its head. However, only its upper body was visible as its lower body exposed its mechanisms.
Personality[]
Being too large to chase individual victims, the lizard monster relied on its physical size to intimidate its victims, as well as its powerful footsteps.
History[]
Scooby-Doo (DC Comics)[]
The lizard monster was a gargantuan robot operated by a large group of looters, who wanted to scare the townspeople away from a town so they could steal its goods. They first used military helicopters to lift a giant metal foot which made the footprints in the ground, also creating powerful tremors comparable to an earthquake. Then, they had the monster erected in the woods, which was large enough to be visible from the town. Finally, as the townspeople evacuated, they entered the town in trucks to loot it.
Looters caught.
Mystery Inc. was in the town's Paul Bunyan Hotel when the footprints were made. While Daphne and Velma witnessed the culprits looting the town, Fred, Shaggy, and Scooby followed the monster into the woods, finding the metal foot used to make the prints. They then found the monster itself and operated it to stop the culprits. They first had the monster roar, scaring the helicopter pilots and causing some to crash. Then, they knocked the monster over, blocking a road and preventing the truck drivers from escaping. Mystery Inc. entrusted local authorities with capturing the remaining helicopter pilots.
